Maria Stepanova, 1972 in Moskau geboren, ist die international erfolgreichste russische Dichterin der Gegenwart. Für ihr umfangreiches lyrisches und essayistisches Werk wurde sie vielfach ausgezeichnet. Ihr Prosadebüt Nach dem Gedächtnis (2018) wurde in zahlreiche Sprachen übersetzt. Zurzeit ist sie Fellow des Wissenschaftskollegs zu Berlin.

Maria Stepanova, born in Moscow in 1972, is the most internationally successful Russian poet of the presence. She has received numerous awards for her extensive lyrical and essayistic work. Her prose debut In Memory of Memory (2018) has been translated into numerous languages. She is currently a Fellow of the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin.
